Alexander Subbotin presented awards to the prize-winners and winners of the final stage of ProfSkills Belarus – 2025
The team from the Vitebsk region won 7 gold, 11 silver, and 6 bronze medals at the final stage of the VI Republican competition of professional skills ProfSkills Belarus – 2025. The guys from the northern region of the country outperformed all regions in the number of awards, conceding only to Minsk.
In a solemn atmosphere, the chairman of the regional executive committee, Alexander Subbotin, presented awards to the winners and prizewinners, sincerely thanking them for their achievements.
– Your successes tell the whole country that you are the best in your competencies. You are shaping the glory of Vitebsk region, – he said, emphasizing that behind every success stands not only the hard work of the participants but also the care of those who taught and supported them. – Thank you to the teachers, masters of vocational training, and leaders who ensure the functioning of this system and contribute to such wonderful results.
The head of the main department of education of the regional executive committee, Dmitry Khoma, also noted the significance of the competition, which is held according to international standards.
– It is difficult to overestimate it, as it has become an important stage in the development of vocational education, – emphasized the head of the department.
Dmitry Khoma reminded that just 10 years ago, no one could have imagined that a modern specialist should possess several competencies.
– Today we are proud of the progress we have made during this time, – he added. – The work carried out by the regional executive committee and the main department of education, including the optimization of institutions and the development of the material and technical base, has borne fruit. Our students have shown excellent results, and this year has become a record in the number of diplomas, which speaks of the high level of training of specialists.
At the end of the event, the directors of colleges were presented with gratitude from the regional executive committee for their invaluable contribution to the training of students, as teamwork is important in achieving such high results.
Graduate of Polotsk College of Vitebsk State University named after P. Masherov, Ulyana Voitekhovich:
– I represented the college in the competency of "Music Education". We, as future teachers, demonstrated a fragment of a music lesson, rhythmic improvisation with volunteers, choreography, and also engaged in computer arrangement and more.
The impressions from the competition were unforgettable: interesting, beautiful, and inspiring. I gained valuable experience that will undoubtedly be useful to me in the future. I am looking forward to starting my career as a music teacher at Secondary School No. 42 in Vitebsk named after D. Raytsev, where I hope to pass on my love for music to the younger generation.
Graduate of Vitebsk State Technological College, Stanislav Misyura:
– I already had experience participating in the competition of professional skills, so this time I felt much more confident. Less anxiety, more specifics – I was able to show courage on the platform and did not feel fear.
I participated in the competency of "Joinery". The task was to create a chair with a backrest. The most challenging part was to make the curve of the backrest. It is really not easy – you need to accurately mark and hit the required dimensions to avoid gaps, – the young man shared.
The high result was made possible by my love for my craft: working with wood is my hobby. I get immense satisfaction when drawings turn into finished products. It is really cool!
I plan to continue my education at VGTU to double my knowledge and skills, and I look forward to new opportunities for self-realization in my favorite profession.
