Alexander Subbotin visited agricultural facilities in the Orshansky district
The Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, visited the Orsha District yesterday on a working trip.
How the President's instructions on restoring order at agricultural enterprises are being implemented and the readiness of livestock complexes for the winter housing period – these and other issues were the focus of the regional leader's attention.
Together with the chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee Igor Moroz, he checked the MTC "Usten" RPU "Ustye" of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, where more than 2,000 heads of cattle are kept. The farm specializes in the maintenance of red Danish breed cows, which produce high milk yields.
The chairman of the regional executive committee also visited the "Ustye" farm and then went to the livestock facilities of the "Zubrevichi-Agro" enterprise, where he looked at the conditions for keeping cattle, young stock, and talked to the farm and complex workers.
Alexander Subbotin also visited the dairy farm near the agrotown of Mezhevo in the Orsha District, where large-scale reconstruction is underway.
The project includes the construction of a cow barn, a calf prophylactic center, three buildings for keeping young stock, a shed for bedding material, 12 trenches for storing silage, a quarantine area for bedding manure with liquid collectors, a feed bunker, and more. Construction work at the MTC is nearing completion. The regional leader observed the progress of the construction and installation work and the conditions in which the animals are kept in the building for dry cows.
