Александр Субботин: "Чем сильнее будут регионы, тем сильнее будет наша страна"

Alexander Subbotin: "The stronger the regions are, the stronger our country will be"

Today, more than ever, the phrase "Strong regions — strong country" is relevant. Consolidation of efforts is necessary. This opinion was voiced to journalists before the start of the second session of the VII All-Belarusian People's Assembly by the delegate of the Assembly, the chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin, reports sb.by correspondent.

Speaking about expectations for the upcoming second session of the seventh All-Belarusian People's Assembly, Alexander Subbotin noted that the main event will be the Address of the President of Belarus, Chairman of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly Alexander Lukashenko to the Belarusian people and Parliament. The second, equally important point is the adoption of the program for the socio-economic development of the country for the next five years:

— Although we discussed the development program for the next five years, formalized and reviewed it, starting from labor collectives to the expert community and the Government, it is important to see how it will be further discussed, refined, and adopted. After all, this will determine how our country will develop and how our people will live.

The chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee emphasized that the socio-economic development program outlines seven priorities that define the vector of development of the Belarusian economy in three components — comprehensive personal development, improving the quality and standards of living, balanced economic growth, and ensuring environmental safety:

— All directions and priorities of the program, according to the chairman of the regional executive committee, are equally important — from industry and agriculture to tourism. Nothing can be overlooked, otherwise the system will collapse. Strong regions are especially important: the stronger they are, the more stable the whole country will be.
