Alexander Lukashenko voted in the presidential elections
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, voted in the presidential elections, reports BELTA correspondent.
The head of state participated in the voting at the polling station located at the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture.
— If you want to ask who I voted for, I must honestly admit — for everyone! — anticipating journalists' questions about who he cast his vote for, noted the President.
Alexander Lukashenko added that he would talk in detail with the press in another location so as not to interfere with the voting.
At the polling station, the head of state briefly spoke with the observers. He noted Belarus's openness to observers, as well as to journalists covering the elections. Some media representatives, according to the President, even expressed a desire to visit the southern border of the country.
— If journalists want to go to the border, they need to be warned that the situation there is serious. If you want — go ahead. Therefore, nothing should be forbidden. First of all, we do not need it. And secondly, let them see our openness, — said Alexander Lukashenko.
