Procedure for selecting candidates for service in the units of the Protection Department, for admission to the educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

In the educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system of the Republic of Belarus, individuals are admitted on a competitive basis who enroll for a first‑level higher education in full‑time form funded by the republican budget in the specialty “Legal Studies”, specialist qualification “Lawyer”, having general secondary education, professional‑technical education with general secondary education or secondary specialized education, who have passed a professional selection from among civilian youth, who are either turning 17 or have already turned 17 in the year of admission, but not older than 25 years at the start date of the academic year.

Professional selection of applicants is carried out in the following areas:preliminary study; conducting a special inspection; medical examination and professional psychophysiological selection.

Individuals who have expressed a desire to enroll in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus educational institutions must submit an application addressed to the head of the coordinating body in the prescribed form by April 15.

Attached to the statement:

• characteristic-recommendation for admission to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus educational institutions (from the place of study, reviewed by the pedagogical council and approved by the head of the educational institution);

• five photographs, one of them – size 9×12 cm and four – 3×4 cm, without headwear and a corner;

• written consent of one of the legal representatives (parent) for admission to the educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus (for applicants under 18 years of age);

• certificate of registration of a citizen as unemployed in the prescribed form (for applicants who are registered with the labor, employment and social protection authorities);

• military ID card or conscript's certificate.

When submitting documents to the admission committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus (the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs or the Mogilev Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs), the applicant personally presents an identity document and also provides the following documents: originals of the education document and its attachments; originals of the centralized testing certificates (Russian or Belarusian language, social studies, foreign language (English or German)), conducted in the Republic of Belarus.

The competition is carried out based on the total sum of points obtained from the results of the three entrance examinations in the form of the CT, and the average grade of the education document.

The applicant who passed the competition is enrolled by order of the head of the educational institution after concluding a service contract that provides for the obligation to serve during the period of obtaining higher education and for 5 years of service after obtaining the education, as well as reimbursement to the republican budget of the funds spent by the Ministry of Internal Affairs on his training.

An applicant who did not pass the competition has the right to submit documents to the admissions committee to obtain first-level higher education in a part-time form on a paid basis.
