The “Our Children” campaign: a holiday arrived at the family‑type house of Svetlana Leontyeva from the village of Zaslonovka, Orshansky District
In the pre-New Year days, it is especially important to share warmth.
As part of the republican charity campaign "Our Children", guests visited the children of the family-type home Svetlana Leontyeva from the village of Zaslonovka. The family, where ten children with difficult fates found love and care, was visited by the chairwoman of the Orsha District Council of Deputies Inna Khomutovskaya, the chief specialist of the Orsha District Executive Committee's Education Department Yulia Petrashenko, and volunteer Yuri Manulik.
The children were eagerly awaiting this visit. The guests brought very useful gifts: a refrigerator and a television. Of course, there were also sweets.
– Such campaigns are not one-time assistance, but an important sign that these children are truly ours, – shared Inna Khomutovskaya. – To see how the children blossom in the atmosphere of love and care created by Svetlana Nikolaevna, how they reach for knowledge and learn responsibility, is the most valuable thing. It is extremely important for us to support such families, to show them that they are not alone. The good we sow today will surely return to our children tomorrow in the form of a strong society that values family and mutual assistance.
The guests were interested to ask the children not only about their successes in school but also about how they take care of the thuja trees planted on the property in the fall as part of the landscaping and greening project "Forest Glade". The young hosts proudly talked about their green household.
By good tradition, the guests were invited for tea. And as they said goodbye, they promised that this meeting would not be the last, that they would definitely visit the big friendly family again in the new year.
The campaign "Our Children" continues, filling with light and faith in miracles those homes where children's laughter sounds especially bright.
