The campaign “Ready to Serve the Motherland!” brought together more than 300 Orsha schoolchildren

At the Orsha District Culture Center "Victory", a large-scale military-patriotic event "Ready to Serve the Motherland!" took place. The event, which gathered more than 300 school students, became a unique platform for a live dialogue between high school students and those who have already chosen the path of a defender of the Fatherland.

Representatives of the Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus and military faculties of leading higher education institutions set up presentation areas in the center's foyer. Students were able not only to see modern samples of equipment, weapons, and training simulators but also to touch them personally: hold weapons, try on military uniforms and gear.

However, the main value of the meeting was the live communication. Students asked officers and cadets the most pressing questions: about admission conditions, levels of physical fitness, nuances of the educational process, and daily life. For the kids, it was an opportunity to learn about the profession not from internet references but from firsthand accounts.

Thus, cadets from the military-technical faculty of BNTU, Ivan Kharitonovich and Vladislav Gavrichenko, willingly shared their experiences with the students. The guys are from Kokanovo. They told the students that they consciously chose the military profession, shared their experiences, and highlighted the main qualities necessary for a future cadet: determination, discipline, and readiness for serious self-improvement.

In the auditorium, a demonstration of videos about the studies and lives of cadets was organized for the students. The participants of the meeting were greeted by the military commissioner of the Orsha and Dubroven districts, Ivan Chertkov, and the head of the military-technical faculty of BNTU, Alexander Talerchik, emphasizing the importance of fostering patriotism among the youth. The event continued with creative performances by the cadets.

The organizers of the event are confident that for some of today's high school students, this meeting will be the first but confident step towards a future military career.
