🎯 About the National Strategy “Active Longevity – 2030”

3 December 2020, adopted by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 693National Strategy of the Republic of Belarus «Active Longevity – 2030»

The development of the National Strategy is driven by the intensification of demographic aging processes, the emergence of new needs and opportunities for elderly citizens, as well as the necessity to create conditions for realizing their potential.

Goal of the National Strategy – formation of a society for people of all ages, creating conditions for the most complete and effective realization of the potential of elderly citizens, sustainable improvement of the quality of their lives through systematic adaptation of state and public institutions to population ageing.

The National Strategy defines 6 main tasks, for each task – priority lines of action and measures, as well as indicators by which the implementation of the National Strategy will be evaluated.

The main tasks of the National Strategy are:

  • ensuring the protection of the rights and dignity of elderly citizens;
  • stimulating a longer working life, forming a comfortable income level for elderly citizens;
  • ensuring the opportunity for lifelong learning;
  • creating conditions for a healthy and safe life, active longevity;
  • development of social services;
  • creation of infrastructure and living environment adapted to the needs of elderly citizens.

The result of implementing the National Strategywill create conditions for the independent, autonomous and full life activity of elderly citizens, sustainable increase in the duration, level and quality of their lives, active and healthy longevity, strengthening intergenerational ties.
