Belarusian farmers milled 3 million tons of grain

Agrarians of Belarus have harvested 3 million tons of grain. This was reported by BELTA in the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

"According to operational data as of August 4, 3106 thousand tons of grain have been harvested from the country's grain fields, including rapeseed," the press service reported.

The contribution to the overall loaf from each region: Vitebsk - 215 thousand tons, Mogilev - 332 thousand tons, Gomel - 380 thousand tons, Minsk - 602 thousand tons, Grodno - 687 thousand tons, Brest - 890 thousand tons.

Grain and leguminous crops excluding corn, buckwheat, and millet have been harvested from 30% of the areas, which amounts to 603 thousand hectares.

The harvest of winter barley is nearing completion (97% of the areas have been threshed). A total of 943 thousand tons have been obtained with a yield of 39.6 centners per hectare, which is 7.3 centners per hectare higher than last year.

Flax has been pulled from 20 thousand hectares - 42% of the planned areas, and second-cut grass has been mowed on an area of 840 thousand hectares (over 78% of the plan), with 295 thousand tons of hay harvested (41% of the plan), and silage - 11,098 thousand tons (almost 80% of the plan), including 318 thousand tons in polymer packaging.

Forage crops have been harvested at 3362 thousand tons (33% of the plan).
