75 ideas for regional development: the application period for the Vitebsk region civil initiatives competition has ended
The acceptance of applications for participation in the competition of civic initiative projects organized by the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies has been completed. During the allotted time, 75 project proposals were submitted by residents of all districts and cities of the Vitebsk region, confirming the high civic activity of the population and interest in the development of their native territories.
The projects cover key areas of sustainable regional development: improvement of public spaces, development of tourist infrastructure, creation of a comfortable environment for families with children and people with limited mobility, support for local initiatives in the field of culture and sports, and more.
75 projects is not just a number. It represents 75 ideas born in the local communities, 75 teams of enthusiasts who know how to make their locality better. Civic initiative is becoming a true driver of territorial development.
The further selection schedule:
- February 19, 2026 — preliminary review of projects by the working group with an assessment of compliance with requirements and implementation potential;
- March 2026 — open competitive selection with the participation of independent experts, representatives of public organizations, and the media. Finalists will present their projects in person, after which a decision will be made by the regional executive committee and project executors will be determined for funding in 2026.
