Journalists of the "Orsha Newspaper" have once again visited the large construction site in the Cheryomushki microdistrict in Orsha to see how the work is progressing on the project to widen the roadway of Mira Street near the railway overpass.
Work continues on a large section with existing engineering networks – this is perhaps the most labor-intensive process. Approximately 80% of the removal of the household sewage system from the construction site has been completed.
– At the moment, we are installing the supports for the pits for the construction of stormwater drainage using the microtunneling method in a closed way. Stormwater drainage chambers have been built. Tentatively in May, using the tunneling complex, we will create a tunnel for laying communications under Mira Street and the railway, – said the site manager of the construction company POOO "DIST" Sergey Kapturkevich.
The Orsha Construction Trust No. 18 is laying the power supply cable from the Eastern microdistrict. Foundations have been prepared for the installation of the outdoor lighting network.
And from the side of Cheryomushki, the passage of the stormwater collector has already been opened, where an underground pedestrian crossing will be equipped. In the coming days, equipment will be sent there for clearing and developing the construction site.
Work on widening the roadway will begin after the main work on the removal of engineering networks is completed.
