Today, residents of the house at 91 Ivan Yakubovsky Street in Orsha and volunteers from Secondary School No. 13 named after I. I. Yakubovsky, together with the first secretary of the BRSM, Maria Trubkina, spent their time productively. They were engaged in tidying up the yard: cleaning up garbage and dry leaves.
Every morning from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the janitor of Housing and Utilities No. 5, Galina Akimova, maintains cleanliness near this house, as well as five other apartment buildings assigned to her area.
In the communal sector, Galina Mikhailovna has worked for over 20 years and knows her job well; she always cares about her beloved work. And as often happens, it is frustrating when her efforts are not appreciated at all. People often express complaints and dissatisfaction towards the janitor, pointing out shortcomings, while behaving uncivilly themselves, leaving dirt and garbage behind.
In house No. 91 on Ivan Yakubovsky Street, there were not many who came out for the cleanup day (announced in advance), which was organized at the request of the residents themselves by the editorial office of the "Arshanskaya Gazeta" and Housing and Utilities No. 5. Only Elena Ankinovich and a young family, the Kuntsevichs, with their son Artem, participated. It was good that volunteers from the BRSM came to help, taking on the main workload.
Literally in an hour, the yard transformed. The participants of the action collected several bags of garbage, raked last year's leaves, and removed branches, sand, and dirt from the curbs.
It would be nice if the residents of Orsha were more active in maintaining order in their yard areas. Let this example serve as an incentive for the initiative of the residents of Orsha in improving their city.
