The youth of Orsha actively joined the district clean-up day, demonstrating their concern for their hometown and its history. On this day, a labor detachment, uniting working and studying youth, launched its activities at several significant sites.
The starting point was the park located near the flax factory. Here, the participants of the clean-up enthusiastically set to work: collecting trash, carefully raking last year's leaves, and removing dry branches, bringing the area into a neat and well-groomed appearance. The work went smoothly, and the common cause united and inspired everyone.
The next location was the Mound of Immortality – a place of special significance for the city's residents. The young people approached the landscaping of the area with respect and attention: they cleaned it of trash, removed branches and leaves, and tidied up the adjacent paths.
At the same time, BRSM activists worked at the memorial sign for the workers of the Orsha flax factory who perished during the Great Patriotic War. Here, the work required special care: the participants of the clean-up not only cleared the area but also gently wiped the memorial plaques, restoring their cleanliness.
– The clean-up is not just about cleaning the area, but an important tradition that unites people and fosters a responsible attitude towards their hometown, – noted Maria Trubkina, the first secretary of the Orsha City Committee of BRSM. – It is important for us to feel that we can contribute to the common cause, making Orsha cleaner and cozier. It is especially pleasant to see how actively the youth respond – the guys come with a good mood and a sincere desire to help. We always gladly participate in such initiatives, as it is an opportunity not only to work together but also to spend time productively, communicate, and do something truly important for all of us.
The clean-up became not just a cleaning effort, but a true manifestation of care for the native land and respect for its history. The youth of Orsha set an example of responsibility, unity, and a sincere desire to make their city cleaner and better.
