Preventive event of the Ministry of Emergency Situations "House Without Fire"
A special preventive event of the Ministry of Emergency Situations "House Without Fire" will take place in the Orsha district from April 6 to 11. Its key goal is to prevent fires in residential buildings and to avoid loss of life.
As part of the event, representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations conduct inspections of the fire safety condition of private households, apartments, as well as outbuildings: baths, garages, and sheds. Residents are informed about the consequences of violating fire safety rules, reminded of the dangers of smoking in the house, the inadmissibility of leaving children unattended, and the importance of installing autonomous fire alarms in living rooms. In the presence of stove heating, rescuers focus on the pre-heating sheets, the condition of the fuel door, and inspect the attic spaces.
In addition to preventive raids in the residential sector, rescuers pay special attention to explanatory work. They hold meetings with citizens at rural gatherings and speak in the labor collectives of enterprises. During these discussions, specialists emphasize the key causes of fires and related tragic cases. Residents and workers are explained a set of mandatory safety rules, compliance with which is the main condition for preventing fires and saving lives.
Preventing tragedies is not only about material damage but also, most importantly, the threat to the life and health of people. Preventive measures help identify and eliminate the causes that can lead to fires, thereby saving lives. Take care of yourself and your loved ones; in case of an emergency, call 101 or 112.
