Leonova Olga Vasilievna, librarian of the PCP, told the attending guests and students of the Orsha State Mechanic-Economic College about the history of the creation of this significant date.
Kulik Irina Viktorovna, head of the TCSON of the Orsha district, informed those present about the main rules for providing situational assistance to people with disabilities. The guests got acquainted with the experts - people with disabilities from the Orsha district, who train in providing assistance to citizens with hearing disabilities, Nina Nikolaevna Svitko, and those with musculoskeletal disorders, Marina Mikhailovna Shaido.
The experts shared stories from their lives and the reasons for their disabilities through their examples. Nina Svitko, with the help of sign language interpreter Olga Viktorovna Kostrova, taught the students basic words in sign language, and those interested were able to translate their names into sign language.
Marina Shaido explained how to help a person using a wheelchair and suggested assisting her in overcoming a threshold in the doorway, while providing help, one of the students gave instructions to all the students.
At the end of the meeting, everyone gathered for a casual conversation and a photo for memory.
A huge thank you to all the students who attended the meeting and to the organizers of the event for their attention and concern for the problems of people with disabilities!
