The Cabinet of Ministers' Resolution of 28 June 2024 No. 455 “On stimulating achievements in the sphere of economic development” (Appendix 1) in the Republic of Belarus established Government awards of the Republic of Belarus for special achievements in various spheres of the country's economy (hereinafter – Government awards).
Government awards will be presented starting from 2025.
Annually on a competitive basis, two Government awards will be granted in two categories:
for a significant contribution to the development of production and the services sector (works);
for achievements in sectoral science.
One Government award may be granted to one person or a team of up to no more than 6 people. The award amount is 1000 basic units.
The Government award for a significant contribution to the development of production and the services sector (works) is awarded for outstanding results in production management, ensuring and improving product quality, introducing new progressive management methods, producing new or improved competitive goods (works, services) while meeting general and specific conditions (criteria).
The award for achievements in sectoral science will be presented for the completion of R&D (R&D&T) in the interests of sectoral organizations or for sectoral technological development, resulting in the creation of new scientific‑technical products, adoption (implementation) in production of high‑technology export‑oriented innovations and the release, on this basis, of newly developed products with high economic efficiency.
The Regulation on Government awards of the Republic of Belarus for special achievements in various spheres of the country's economy, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers' Resolution of 28 June 2024 No. 455, sets out the general and specific conditions (for a particular category) for granting Government awards; a brief regulation is attached.
As part of the implementation of the function of ensuring coordination of the work on awarding Government awards, the Ministry of Economy has prepared Methodological recommendations for nominating award candidates.
