22 июня – День всенародной памяти жертв Великой Отечественной войны и геноцида белорусского народа.

June 22 – Day of the People's Memory of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the Genocide of the Belarusian People.

June 22, 1941 – a significant date in the history of Belarus. On this day, German fascist invaders treacherously attacked the Soviet Union, starting one of the bloodiest wars in human history, which brought immeasurable suffering and claimed millions of lives.

Today, at 4:00 AM, a rally was held near the memorial sign for the liberators. The Deputy Chairperson of the Orsha District Executive Committee, Prokofyeva Anastasia Adamovna, noted:

"Today, it is important not only to honor the memory of the fallen but also to pass on the truth about the war to new generations, so that the tragedy of those years never happens again."

Also, as part of the action "Let's Preserve History", an updated plaque of the public association "Patriots of Belarus" was installed.

The participants of the rally honored the memory of the fallen with a moment of silence, laid flowers, and lit memorial candles in a sign of mourning and respect for those who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the Motherland.

Eternal memory to the heroes! No one is forgotten, nothing is forgotten!
