February 18 – World Battery Day!

Small and efficient sources of energy, but a big danger to the ecology if thrown in regular trash – this is about batteries!

Fortunately, more and more residents of our country are choosing to recycle them. Moreover, it's so easy to do! In Belarus, more than 3,300 containers for used batteries have already been installed: in stores, administrative buildings, and other public places.

In 2024, residents of Belarus sent over 212 tons of batteries for recycling. And in 2025 – over 250 tons! That's like ~10 million AA alkaline batteries! Just imagine the harm they would cause if they ended up in a landfill or, worse, in a forest or river.

? But now they will gain a new life! Up to 90% of battery materials can be returned to production: iron, zinc, manganese, graphite. Recycling will save resources and energy.

Give at least one unwanted battery a "ticket" for recycling today – just send it to the right container!
